"Jeremy at Shoemaker's Cave" (Full Title)Shoemaker's Cave is a place on a wildlife reserve near our town - there is actually a cave there (not in the photo) where it is said that a man hiding out from the war (not exactly sure which one...) lived in the cave and would make/mend shoes for locals (there used to be a village nearby) in exchange for food and supplies. Kind of odd - makes you wonder how he knew who to trust... Anyway, that's the tale as I heard it. I'm sure there are other versions...
This photo was taken yesterday on our last outing to the woods before Jesse is born (and probably for a good while after he arrives!). I'm glad I felt like going.
