Happy Halloween! I had to get a blood transfusion. How was yours?

22/365: Active Labor
I can't believe I'm putting this online, but Jeremy took it and it's too funny to keep to myself.
It's me - in active labor.... LOL Well, it wasn't so funny then...
This was actually taken on the 29th...

21/365: Alive.
This is me, post-giving birth and near death experience (#3 in the past year). Still alive, though, and now I have a son. *happiness*
This is the first time I got to see him, several hours after he was born. They put him on my stomach when he was born but I wasn't there for that. LOL
Ignore the medical waste bag - gross... LOL
Jesse was born at 3:37PM, 6lbs 5oz., 19.5 inches long.

19/365: Pre-Pregnancy
This is me a year ago - just a few months before we got pregnant. Will I ever be small again? Probably - in a while...

16/365: Pregnancy Fun
"A grand adventure is about to begin."
-- Winnie the Pooh
Jeremy took this with my cell phone. I was actually about 7 months pregnant in this picture, taken on August 26, 2009. Can't believe he'll be here next week!

15/365: Hidden Sun
Well, it's there somewhere... ;-)

14/365: Last of It's Kind
...for a while, anyway. This is probably the last self-portrait we'll take (we always take a picture like this when we go somewhere new or just randomly at family events, etc.) without our baby. I'm 7 (almost 8) months pregnant in this picture (though you can't see my stomach) and this was taken at a family get together back in August (22nd, 2009 - exactly two months ago today - how weird).

13/365: Favorite Pasttime
Chloe's favorite thing to do is sleep. She is almost ALWAYS sleeping. That's cool, though - it means she's always available to cuddle, and she's not getting into trouble.

12/365: Jeremy at...
"Jeremy at Shoemaker's Cave" (Full Title)
Shoemaker's Cave is a place on a wildlife reserve near our town - there is actually a cave there (not in the photo) where it is said that a man hiding out from the war (not exactly sure which one...) lived in the cave and would make/mend shoes for locals (there used to be a village nearby) in exchange for food and supplies. Kind of odd - makes you wonder how he knew who to trust... Anyway, that's the tale as I heard it. I'm sure there are other versions...
This photo was taken yesterday on our last outing to the woods before Jesse is born (and probably for a good while after he arrives!). I'm glad I felt like going.

10/365: Broken Hallelujah
Originally taken on Feb. 22, 2007; the pasture in front of my house and the horses having a morning gathering. It was actually really foggy and early when I took this shot (6 something in the morning), so I increased contrast in this photo to offset the fog a bit, but hopefully leaving a bit of a dreamy feel in the background. The title is taken from Jeff Buckley's song of the same name.

9/365: Pit Stop
This is actually an older image I found while browsing folders on my computer. This was taken this past spring, randomly, while walking in the woods with Jeremy.

8/365: Old Posts
Old fence posts... Manual b/w conversion and vignette in Photoshop, as well as some light editing using action sets.
Pictures of old things tend to remind me of this quote: "You never grow old - you become old by not continuing to grow." ~Unknown

2/365: Yellow
Yellow wildflower (at some point I'll get out my field guide and find out what it is, specifically). I had forgotten how many pretty wildflowers bloom during this time of the year.

1/365: In the Woods
This is (obviously) the first shot I uploaded to the 365 Project page. Being nine months pregnant, I really miss going on hikes/walks in the woods. I can't wait to be able to go again. I never thought of myself as taking the ability to do these types of things for granted, but maybe I did - at least a little.
